Building The Perfect Home Theater System
The time has finally come, you put it into your head to get that home theater system you always wanted. You saved up enough money, worked hard at your job, made some overtime, paid all of your bills and now you decide its time to treat yourself. Now that you have the chance; do you know what is out there and how to go about buying A/V (audio and video) equipment? Most consumers see the rows of big screen televisions in their big lot stores. They stand there drooling only to find they don’t understand what brand audio will go with the best brand of video. It is a logistic nightmare if you want to learn all the information about the product and then when you get home you don’t know how to set it up.
That is why you should go to a local audio and visual event production professional. Most big lot stores have salesmen that have as much or even less knowledge about audio and visual equipment than you do, Walmart is a perfect example of that. They know the electronic catch phrases like contrast and definition, but if you let them loose in your home to build it, you would find that you have brought inferior products and sound quality that is way below the price you paid for it. Your audio and visual production professional is both the salesman and the installer. You will receive professional service at reasonable prices and at the same time receive quality in your purchase.
When you walk into a business that knows about the buying and selling of A/V equipment you will find that the salesman knows what he is talking about from the beginning of conversation. He or she will not ask you what you want; they will tell you what you need in accordance to the space you have and the purpose you want home theater for. They may even schedule a trip to your home to measure the room it is going in and what kind of acoustics you have in that room. Once this, is measured they will help you pick out one of the optical front projection screens that will give you the ultimate in viewing pleasure.
The screen will be the right size for the room and the angle will be set to be the viewing angle for the room and your furniture. You might even have to give your’s and your family’s height and where you sit so they can create the right angle for that perfect home theater system experience. Next they will strategically place the audio equipment around your room to give you that authentic theater sound. The bass, tenor, and tweak of each speaker will blend into a symphony of sound and excitement as you bring car chases, explosions, and music into your living space that will blow you away.
So don’t depend on the unprofessional experience of a big lot electronic store to set up your home theater system. Go to the professionals who set up live events such as concerts and business conferences. If they can set up a professional event that is seen by thousands think about what kind of home theater system they can set up for you. When I first learned about this I never even gave a thought to go to a professional and get them to build a home theater system for me. However,; when you think about it, it does make sense. In getting back to what I was saying earlier about how useless stores like Wal-Mart is, I remember one day when I first got interested in getting a home theater system I asked several different clerks about what I wanted. These individuals were so unknowledgeable and so unprofessional they couldn’t tell me anything about what products they had. In fact; I ended up knowing more about what I wanted then they did and what I knew at the time wasn’t a lot so that’s pathetic.
Now when it comes to stores like Best Buy I give them a bit more credit. The Best lap top computer I ever had so far came from Best Buy. That computer did eventually break but that was my fault not Best Buy, plus I did have the computer for a good number of years before I broke it. The sales reps at Best Buy do put a bit more effort into actually learning something about the product when it first comes into the warehouse. They can direct you to a better product but like any salesman the biggest thing I don’t like is they always try to sale you the highest product first. This is true even when your repeatedly telling them what your looking for and your on a budget. I understand that cheaper is not always better but some salesman not all are just a bit eratating more expensive is not always better because somethings your simply paying for the brand more then anything, paying for a brand does not always include better quality. Now even though I’m giving some credit to the employees at Best Buy that doesn’t mean they are all still professionals. Some of them you could say are professionals, the ones that have actual I.T. certifications anyway but they’re still not the same as the professionals who spend years building systems for live events is a different matter.
I remember a year or two ago I was helping some friends set up a sound system and some other equipment at a hall one day. One of my friends was the most knowledgeable of all of us but even so he had limitations. He was primarily self thought and figuring out things as he went. When it came to some task we had to get a professional and it was a guy who owned his own business in the field. I saw a clear difference in the advice he gave us versus what my friend was giving us. It pays to have a professional to help you with your decision-making vs a non-professional. By the time we got finished putting up the new sound system we had a good thing on our hands for an affordable price so for this reason, yes I recommend getting a professional whenever you decide you want a new home theater system. I know for myself when I decide to get my first real theater system you can bet I’m going to do just that. Some of those professionals I mentioned earlier you might be able to find at a place like Best Buy some of those individuals maybe found in a place like that working part-time there while pursuing their passion on the side. You never know what you might find but you guys probably don’t need me to tell you that their are all sorts of ways to find a trusted professional who would be more then happy to build you a brand new spiffy home theater system for a reasonable price. Hope you guys found this article helpful let me know what you think in the comments.
